Dear Comrade, Once a Russian worker compared Plekhanov with Lenin— the former is only our leader but the later is our leader and friend as well. After just a pair of correspondences, I feel you are unknowingly becoming my friend.
So, now I’ve collected the gut to speak to you without any background. In this letter I would like to forward following humble suggestions to our respected leader and an introvert friend, whose frank face has come to light through the window of my desktop.
1) It is the tragedy of Nepali history; the gems of our motherland are not given due respect in their lifetime. Nepali Communist Movement also is plagued by this contagion of the history. And you are one of the victims. Within our party, there was a lot of misinformation and brainwashing about you. Although with the success of your line, passed by the Chunwang meeting, in toppling down the monarchy and ushering the new era of Federal Democratic Republic, peoples’ mind is changed a lot. But it’s not enough. So, you need to allocate more time to interact with our ground level comrades as far as possible.
2) Some people have impression that Baburam Bhattarai is nice but the people around him, not all but a number of them are naughty. I think this notion is not groundless. There are always such breeds of characters around a towering personality like you. The most disturbing thing of these guys is that they inflict damage to the judgement of the great personalities. These scoundrels sometimes succeed to become their ears and eyes. At least, in your case don’t let it happen. You are one of the God gifted man to judge by ones own conscience. Don’t miss it. The business of the peoples of abovementioned breed is to keep a nursery of suspicion flowers and to plant one into the mind of pioneers of history. If I’m not mistaken, they are like Othello’s father in law. (I suppose you have read Shakespeare’s Othello.) Do not listen to these idiots.
3) I’ve already mentioned we are not in par with the development of revolution ideologically.(May be Chairman Prachanda and you are but whole rank and file of our party is not.)You know I’m a PLA soldier. Every time I turn the pages of our mouthpieces— Jandesh & Janadisha, I get frustrated. Then I feel that the muddle headed masters of our propaganda don’t even know how to hold their weapon, needless to say about good aiming and sharp shooting. They’re only a few times near to the bull. One of my friends told me they are dogged down in wrangling and they do not have time to mull over the quality of their product. These masters of our ‘iskra’ are always busy hatching conspiracy. Down with these propaganda lords. So, please try your best for good propaganda policy. It’s high time to build the infrastructure of our partly school as well.
4) Opportunity is knocking our door. Please, don’t complain of noise. Opportunity is always in guise of noise. I know you have far more better knowledge about how to transform challenges into opportunity than me. It’s not good to talk big with a small mouth. I could have written it in Nepali but I preferred English. It would be good news for the people like me if you find my English getting better after I started to interact with you in baburambhattarai.com. Now, I don’t know you have finished reading my trivial comment letter thoroughly or not. But, already your precious time is gone, if not wasted. I’m really sorry for that and I hope you will not feel bored to be in touch with me via this channel.
Thank you Yours faithfully 2009-01-12, Chitwan
